Non-toxic propylene glycol prevents freezing of the working fluid and allows for elevated operating temperatures in solar hot water systems.
This propylene glycol includes corrosion inhibitors and will work well with cast iron pumps.
One gallon of concentrate produces two gallons of 50/50 glycol/water mix with freeze protection down to -27 degrees Fahrenheit. For other mixing concentrations see the table below.
