Used to collect and remove air from the working fluid when charging the system and during operation. Removal of the air from a solar hot water system is important to prevent the pump cavitation and to reduce system noise. It also is handy investment when it comes to charging the system, because it allows air to escape automatically and wont waste or spill any of your working fluid in the process.
All brass construction is suitable for high temperate operation with both domestic hot water and propylene glycol.
Plumbing requirements: 3/4" systems require one 3/4" to 1/4" and one 1/4" to 1/8" brass bushing 1/2" systems require one 1/2" to 1/4" and one 1/4" to 1/8" brass bushing
Warning: Do not use steel bushings on solar hot water systems. The high temperature and the contact with copper cause them corrode very quickly (months not years). The corrosion will result in leaks and possibly failure of equipment.
